1. How do you know if the medium/psychic actually has a gift or if it’s a scam?
    • This is a great (but tricky) question, and one that I get asked often. First, you should always do your research, check online for reviews and comments and/or try and find a medium that people you know have already had readings with. Also, the Medium should be able to provide some sort of “validation” from the spirit that they are communicating with; for example, describing how they passed or a memory/experience that you share with the person.  Sometimes Mediums could be “general” in the messages that they provide, this does not necessarly mean they are a scam, it could simply mean that spirit is not providing them with specific details.
  2. Why can’t psychics give lotto numbers? Or use their gift to benefit themselves?
    • Oh man, how awesome would it be if I could give lotto numbers!! (lol) Most Psychics don’t actually “predict” the future, especially random numbers that are chosen by a computer or machine. They read energy and provide you with insight about yourself, your past and current situations. They may provide you with helpful insight on certain situations and provide guidance but they should never be telling you “this is what is going to happen and you have to do this, this and this” By doing that, they are taking away your free will, and no one should ever have that kind of power over you. A Psychics main purpose/goal is to help their clients evolve and grow, not to seek financial gain. A spiritual advisor (psychic) should be looked at more as a helper, a supporter, and an ally – not someone who is going to make sure you win the lottery. With realistic expectations, you will find that a psychic can help you in ways that far surpass predictions about the future.
  3. How do the ones who passed on know you are calling for them?
    • When someone passes away, it is just their physical form that is gone- their spirit and energy still live on and are still very much connected to you. So, when you speak with a medium, you are actually bringing those spirits with you (weird right?) Spirit will come through when they have something important to say or have a message that you need to hear at that given moment. Do not get discouraged if you go to a medium and that ONE person you really wanted to talk to doesn’t show up. It does not mean that they are no longer around you, it just simply means that you needed to hear something else at that time.
  4. How do mediums set boundaries for the other side? meaning how do you “turn it off” esp in busy environments?
    • I struggled with this one for a while. When I first started to do this work, spirit would show up at really inconvenient times, like in the middle of the night. This started to become a huge issue for me and I knew, if I was going to continue doing this work, something had to change. I did not want to be one of those Mediums that walked through Target and saw everyone’s dead grandparents behind them. I had a conversation with my spirit guides one night and told them that I needed to have boundaries, that I refused to have my life consumed by this and that if I am to do this work, then I and only I can agree to let spirit in. So, I will only start to feel, hear and see spirit once I agree to meeting with a client (usually, once an appointment is scheduled and confirmed- I will start receiving messages) but I also have a ritual that I do 15-20 minutes before I start a reading which opens up communication and allows spirit in.
  5. What do you actually see/hear when spirit is communicating?
    • This honestly depends. Sometimes I can actually see spirit but most often, they provide images that run like a movie in my mind- sometimes it may be images of the person and other times it is my symbols and signs. For example, If the spirit of my client’s grandmother is coming through and I am asking for validation that it is them – spirit might show me a picture of my grandmother- seeing an image of my grandma is my sign for grandmother and/or dementia, so since I already know this is the spirit of my client’s grandma, the validation is that she had dementia.
  6. How do you call on spirit?
    • I don’t. I am never actually “calling” spirit. I am raising my vibration and opening up my channel for communication and allowing spirit to use me as a messenger.
  7. Are you supposed to answer questions the Medium is asking? Or is yes/no all that you are supposed to say?
    • I get this question a lot as well. My advice would be to follow your instincts. If the Medium is really far off and nothing is clicking for you, you might not want to “feed” them information. But if the Medium is spot on with everything else and has provided validation- then you could most certainly answer their questions and help connect some dots. As I mentioned above, Mediums have signs and symbols that spirit uses to help the medium communicate and validate. The signs and symbols used are things that make sense to the medium, it is then our job and responsibility to try and interpret those signs and symbols and communicate that back to the client
  8. What is the difference between a Psychic and a Medium?
    • Psychics read energy and can sense what is happening, what is currently happening to us, health, circumstances etc. and what is written in our life plan.Mediumship takes psychic ability a step further.  All mediums are psychic and have the additional abilities of sensing, discerning, and communicating with spirit energy.
